There are moments in a DJ's career that stay with you forever. For me, that moment was August 15, 2026, when I took to the streets of Berlin as part of Rave the Planet Parade, the spiritual successor to the iconic Love Parade.
If you've followed my journey, you know I've played festivals, clubs, and private events. But nothing compares to performing for 200,000+ ravers on a moving float through the heart of Berlin. This is what rave culture was built for.
What Is Rave the Planet?
For those who don't know, Rave the Planet is Berlin's official techno parade, a political demonstration celebrating electronic music culture as a cultural achievement. Founded by Dr. Motte (the original Love Parade founder), it brings the spirit of unity, peace, and love back to the streets where it all began.berlin+2
The 2026 edition carried the motto #ImagineLOVE, and the energy was unreal.
The Experience: Performing on a Float
Imagine this: you're on a massive sound truck, surrounded by thousands of people dancing, singing, and living in the moment. The route stretches seven kilometers from the Brandenburg Gate to the Victory Column, with 18 floats and over 150 DJs pumping out electronic music across every genre.
I was part of Float One, which featured an incredible lineup including EIJI and Frequency Bros. The float's vibe was pure acid techno, Afro house, and melodic techno- exactly the energy I bring to my sets.
Unity Through Music
What struck me most was the diversity. People from every country, background, and age were united by one thing: the beat. That's what rave culture is about, not ego, not exclusivity, but collective joy.
The Crowd's Energy
Rain or shine, the crowd never stopped moving. Even when the weather turned, thousands stayed, dancing through it all. That's the power of techno, it doesn't need perfect conditions. It just needs people who believe in the music
The Bigger Picture: Why Parades Matter
Preserving Rave History
The original Love Parade ended in tragedy, but Rave the Planet keeps its spirit alive, peacefully, legally, and with purpose. Events like this remind us why we rave: for community, for freedom, for love.
Inspiring the Next Generation
Seeing young DJs like myself on the lineup alongside legends proves that the scene is evolving. Age, origin, and background don't matter - only passion and skill.
Building Global Connections
I met DJs from Egypt, Italy, Belgium, and beyond. These aren't just competitors, they're collaborators, friends, and fellow travelers on this musical journey.
Final Thoughts: Gratitude and Momentum
Playing Rave the Planet 2026 was more than a gig - it was a milestone. It reminded me why I started DJing: to bring people together through music, to create moments that last forever, and to honor the culture that raised me.
To everyone who danced, cheered, and shared their energy that day: thank you. This is just the beginning.
